A selection of plays by Samuel Beckett: 24-28 November 2009

World renowned for his plays 'Waiting for Godot', 'Happy Days' and 'Endgame', Samuel Beckett also wrote a number of lesser known shorter plays. He also wrote for radio, calling his first radio play 'All that Fall' a soundscape, at a time when the possibilities of that medium were just beginning to be realised. The Irish Theatre Group will present a selection of plays by Samuel Beckett from 24 - 28 November 2009 at 8pm. The following plays will be performed:

  • 'All that Fall' which relates the story of a wife meeting her blind husband at the train station;

  • 'Breath' which shows us the power of a baby's cry;

  • 'Play' which recounts a story of endless infidelity;

  • 'Catastrophe' which illustrates the power play between a director, his assistant and a protagonist.
